Course: Directing
This project was completed to fufil the requirements of the Directing course. For this assignment students were tasked with creating a short video utilizing the concepts of the 180º rule and creating a story using 10 camera setups. This applies to one of the core competencies provided by the Cathy Hughes School of Communications. Understanding concepts and theories and applying them using visual presentation.
This short video named "10 shots" completes this competency requirement becuase of my use of skills learned in the classsroom. Having my classmates as my talent, I was able to apply the 180º line rule in film and apply it in practice. Creating a story using only 10 camera setups was a simple task. Using the skills learned in previous film production courses, I was able to learn the new concepts introduced while reinforcing the story elements I had learned prior.
