Course: Directing
For this project students were tasked with creating a short video that demonstrated the skills of directing actors while building on the simple story element. Students had to create a 5 minute black and white video showing good video quality, an easy to follow storyline and linear editing. This follows one of the 16 core competencies provided by the Cathy Hughes School of Communications, thinking critically, creatively and independently.
This project fufils the core competencies becasue it demonstrated a creative storyline and was completed independently. Thinking critically was important because of the 180º rule taught in the earlier section of the class.
